Punk o PunkRock

El Punk es un género musical dentro del rock que emergió a mediados de los años 70's. Se caracteriza por su actitud independiente. En sus inicios, el Punk era un tipo de rock sencillo. El punk surgió como una burla a la rigidez de los convencionalismos que ocultaban formas de opresión social y cultural.

"Punk": "despreciable", "sucio", "basura", "escoria"... Debido al carácter de este significado, se ha utilizado como medio de expresión de sentimientos de malestar y odio.
A principios de los años 70's, los punks tenían una filosofía muy diferente a la de ahora, "There is no future" (no futuro, no hay futuro). Ese concepto era pesimista, desesperado, destructivo y agresivo hacia la sociedad. Pero, en la actualidad puede resumirse en "Do It Yourself" (hazlo tu mismo, a tu manera).

Entre sus subgéneros se pueden identificar los siguientes:
* Anarcopunk: grupos que enlazan su música con temáticas o prácticas anarquistas.
* Horror punk: se caracteriza principalmente por sus letras relacionadas con las películas de terror y de Serie-B. Algunas bandas son Misfits, Creepersin, Diemonsterdie y The Distillers
* Gothic punk: Es la rama del punk que mezcla el punk y el movimiento estético gótico.
* Straight edge: grupos que abogan por el no a las drogas y algunos a favor del vegetarianismo.
* Oi! (también llamado street punk): relacionado a la temática skinhead.
* Skate punk: generalmente de estilo hardcore o hardcore melódico, grupos relacionados a la subcultura del skate.
* Queer punk o queercore: grupos con componentes homosexuales.

Aquí os dejo dos canciones de éste género; I wanna be sedated (The Ramones, de los 70's) y Basket case (Green Day, de los 90's y actualidad). Dos grandes grupos!
